Diving
Dive in one of the best areas of the south seas and let yourself be enchanted by the wealth of sea creatures. Hard corals, sea fans, sea anemones and nearly every kind of tropical coral fish can be found. Due to the proximity of the Tonga rift the water is very clear. From July until October or November the humpbacked whales come from the Antarctic to Tonga. The animals can be seen in the Ha'apai and Vava'u groups of islands. The most advantageous time of year to travel is from March until November. The diving areas around Vava'u offer spectacular seascapes. Here you will find caves, caverns, trenches and tunnels or underwater cliffs covered in undisturbed corals and green grape algae. Large fish like sharks (even tiger sharks), tuna fish, barracudas and sea turtles have been sighted. On the other side of the Tonga island group lies the 10,000 meter deep Tonga rift, the second deepest in the world. This ensures excellent visibility. A season lasting throughout the year with water temperatures between 25 and 29 degrees Celcius combined with the exceptional clarity of the water to ensure that your diving holiday will never be forgotten.Until our own ecological resort on Ovaka island is opened, our team will endeavour to arrange this unbelievable experience with another reputable operator.
